My local scout mater commissioned me to make these plaques for the young men and women in his troop that advance to Eagle Scout to present to them at their Court of Honor and I loved it so much - I thought other people might love it too. This sign is made using Birch hardwood and measures approximately 11" x 18" x 1/2". The listing photo is painted dark blue and finished with white, light blue, red, green and yellow professional quality vinyl lettering. This sign is painted on the back and comes with a keyhole drilled in the back so it hangs flush against your wall. I do not use MDF (Medium-density fibreboard ) for my signs as it just simply doesn't hold up as well as the wood in the long run. I found that the corners tend to get really banged up quite easily with MDF. The birch hardwood is sanded so it still has a beautiful, smooth finish but will hold up longer over time.
